Most repeaters use standard or different splits or matching CTCSS/DCS or DTMF signals. When you need to join a repeater, you need to set different parameters on receive and transmit.
Example: The repeater transmit frequency is 450.025MHz,CTCSS value is 67Hz,the receive frequency is 460.025MHz,CTCSS value is 254.1Hz.
When the transceiver needs to join this repeater, you need to set the following steps:
1. Set receive frequency, CTCSS value and store this on appointed channel, example channel 20 (a empty channel).The transceiver on frequency mode, setting receive to 460.025MHz,CTCSS value 254.1Hz and store to channel 20.The operation is as follows:
On frequency mode, order input 4 6 0 0 25, MEUN 1 0 MNEU, press UP/DOWN and select CTCSS value 254.1+MENU, 3 7, 2 0 and voice prompt receive store, press EXIT key.
2. Setting transmit frequency, CTCSS value and store on appointed channel 20.The transceiver on frequency mode, setting transmit frequency as 450.025MHz, setting CTCSS value as 67Hz and store on channel 20.
On frequency mode, order input 4 5 0 0 2 5, MENU 1 0 MENU, press UP/DOWN select CTCSS value 67+MENU, 3 7, 2 0 MENU, Voiceprompt transmit store, press EXIT key.
3. Press MENU, turn on the power at the same time, the transceiver work on channel mode at this time, press UP/DOWN select channel 20, the transceiver can join the repeater.
